Meeting notes and transcripts
Typed notes vs. uploads, processing steps, credits, and plans.
Meeting notes vs. transcripts
Meeting notes are content you type or paste in the meeting notes editor-structured notes, bullets, decisions. Transcripts are longer raw text (pasted or from a file) representing what was said in a meeting.
Supported formats (transcripts)
- Paste: any plain text (typical for copied transcript exports).
- File upload in the app: .txt and .vtt (WebVTT). The file is read into the transcript box; there is no direct upload of audio for automatic transcription inside Action Log. .srt and other formats are not accepted by the picker-convert or paste as text first.
There is no separate published end-user file size limit in the app UI; very large transcripts take longer to process and may hit practical browser or server limits. If a job fails, try a shorter excerpt or split the meeting.
Processing time
Queue time is usually short. Analysis often finishes within about a minute for typical notes; long transcripts can take several minutes depending on length and load. While a job runs, status advances through Queued, Pre-processing, Processing (the main AI step), and Post-processing before it is Ready for review. Long transcripts may also show segment counts (for example "Segments completed: 4 of 12") while parallel AI work runs.
Processing steps
- Step 1: Provide source material (notes body or transcript text/file).
- Step 2: Review AI-proposed activities; toggle which to apply.
- Step 3: Apply selected changes (and optionally create a meeting note from a transcript summary).
Plans and credits
Conversion and transcript processing require a Pro or Business plan on the project owner's billing account (as noted in the app), plus available AI credits. On Free, those features stay unavailable until you upgrade.
Credit use varies by job size and model; meeting note runs often use fewer credits than full transcript analysis. Your AI usage log shows each charge.
